ok.. I need some help here.. I remember some here was having problems with their gears and it came out that Motive has been manufaturing the gears for Ford racing for some time.. now I order a set of the 4'10's and they came in the Ford Racing box and all but now I really worried I got motive gears and I'm gonna get that horrible whine... any suggestions or does anyone remember when Motive starting making the gears??? Since the website crash looks like that thread was lost.. help!!

I could be wrong, but I was thinking that Motive manufactures Ford's 3.90 gears and a couple of other "not so normal sizes", not 4.10s, etc.

I got a set of 4.10 gears that say FORD on the box and on the ring gear, but not on the pinion. The guy going to install the gears for me said that is different, but said he will install them and see what happens.

its not the gears causing the whine. its the installation. they are either over or under torqued
