I recently got a new tune from Bamachips and it rocks !!

I wrote a review on it recently.

The only problem now is that it accelerates so hard that the TCS will engage at times - which I hate.

I know I can turn it off but the TCS is engaging for a reason - the tires are spinning.

If the tires are spinning, then I'm not accelerating as much as I could be.

Therefore, I assume my stock Perrellis have to be replaced. Does that sound right?

You could have your shift firmness set too hard as well, causing the chirp. Is it happening off the line or between gears?

Between gears.

I love the automatic gear shift firmness though

On the street, I'm running Nitto 450 275/50-17s and my car (with 4.10s) will break totally loose on the 1-2 shift, and chirp 2-3. If I leave TCS on, the car will fall flat on its face on the 1-2 shift. So I always turn it off (unless its raining). When I first got Doug's tune, and went to the track, I could no longer hook up with the Nittos. His tune helped the torq management so much that launching was a challenge... even with an automatic! :worship: So, I bought some drag radials... problem solved!

The shift is so firm that I have to watch out on roads that curve - the tail got loose on me going from 4th to 5th gear (or may be it was 3rd to 4th). I had TCS off at the time. If you're not careful and it's a little wet/oily, you can lose control !

Temps outside is currently 55 degrees.

Doug's performance tune is awesome but it's a little scary !!

My experience is that if you're going WOT with his "performance" tune, you better be going in a straight line or have some real sticky tires. Even in a mild turning road, you're rear end can get loose.

So in other words, his tune is great, but you have to repect the power it unlock or else you'll get into trouble real fast !!

A lot of it might be the temperature. Cars produce more hp in cooler weather. The tire compound also gets harder in colder weather. It's been in the 20s or colder in Chicago and I can't get traction until 60. The salt doesn't help either. I can punch it in second gear at 50ish and the car will spin them to redline.

don't ever get gears then! getting the rear loose is easy to modulate once you get the hang of it.
