my tranny has dealt with quite a bit of torque. The auto shows to be stronger than the manual for our cars.

Hey I am not saying dont go with a supercharger if you're an automatic.
I did and I love the way they work together. Just be aware that there are some trannies failing. Take it for what it is worth.
DonW does not have a stock tranny or TC - He had his worked on By Art Carr, although he said he was not happy with their work.
So it might be difficult for him to say just how much a 100% stock tranny can hold up to.....

Let me clarify something, I've put up to 600 ft/lbs through my auto and its still holding.

That's true. I really don't know for sure what I have. And I'm not really pushing the power envelope like a lot of other guys.

Perfect example of what I was saying. And there are others successfully running those kind of numbers too.

Is this a Mustang forum or english class? Sorry, my grammar and punctuations are not up to your standards in the forum. Next time I will conentrate on proof reading my posts just for you. Surfs up Don, like classic.

Alt Auto has "tested" 5r55s too. Would be good to link my other post with some articles from them.

Now, now... don't get your knickers in a twist here. I wasn't bagging on you for a little typo. I actually thought it went perfect with the previous sentence you wrote: "So I Decided If The Warranty Was Going To Be Voided By Something So Simple I Would Go All The Way And Install The Charger. It is Defiantly Worth It."

It seemed to me you were defying Ford by saying screw it and putting the blower on anyway. So the use of "Defiantly" just struck me as humorous in that particular context. That's why I said it was a classic.

BKSFORD,
I thought my tranny died a quick death because it only lasted 3500 miles after the KB went on. Since your tranny died only 200 miles after your Vortech went on you can see that these trannies can go pretty easily.
How much boost were you pushing on the car? You lost 3rd gear and I lost 2nd gear/overdrive. So not the same but both kaputt! Talk to Level 10 or even o what these guys have one with 4R70W.
Wait til you see those billet torque converters for the 5R55S. They are much nicer piece than the stock case.
