supercharger or nitrous
I've thought this over for 26 years of driving. I finally concluded that a centrifugal supercharger was best for my combination. Like a turbo, you can actually launch the car without much trouble as the power builds with rpm's - perfect to maintain streetability. But, a centrifugal runs cooler than a turbo, so there's less heat to worry about.
I've owned a turbo car before and it was intercooled, but the supercharger is an easier and less expensive power adder.
I have no desire to use nitrous. I have friends who are always having issues filling bottles, warming bottles, pressure problems, etc. It always seems to be a hassle for them. The supercharger is always there anytime you want it.

How in the world is running Nitrous getting called Rice?
Not to mention NOS is a brand of Nitrous who got a bad rap because of F&F movies..Since NOS is rice does that mean NEX, Nitrous Xpress, and Edelbrock systems are "rice" aswell?

Bottle feeding is for babies.......real men get blown!!
But seriously eveyone I know that has nitrous wishes they had a turbo/supercharger so that the power is there on demand. Even my brother in law that bottle fed his 1996 Z28 switched to a Procharger this spring and loves it.

I'd get a blower any day over nitrous but for $5/6k for a complete installation I'm gonna get a bottle kit till I can afford that. I just spent well over $10k on mods including chassis stiffening which I would recommend to anyone wishing to pass the 300hp limit with their Stangs.
All fine and dandy until your bottle runs out then where's your power on demand? Plus bottle fed guys are always making excuses when you beat them...."my bottle ran out" or "I forgot to purge my system" or "my bottle isn't open", etc., etc. With F/I the power is there every time you mash the gas pedal. Including the cost of the nitrous kit and 3 yrs of bottle filling my brother in law figures he spent the same as if he'd just bought his Procharger.

No one is doubting that power that is Always there is definitely preferable, but for someone like me who daily drives his car and rarely races except for Saturday nights and a rare trip to the track- Nitrous proves to be a good, reliable, cheaper alternative to go fast.
Right now a friend of mine just got a heads/cam setup with nitrous for track/racing use pushing 380N/A about 470 on juice, and since a friend of mine is a mechanic I get free labor at his shop I am kind of pondering this route.

1. More power because you don't have parasitic loss with a turbo. A turbo will ALWAYS out perform a supercharger in power levels.
2. More streetable because you aren't blowing off the tires every time you touch the pedal. Much more streetable if you're running very high hp.
3. A properly sized turbo for the stock motor will have zero lag
4. Some of the turbo kits out there (turbohorsepower) are cheaper than the supercharger kits
5. With a boost controller you can change your power level with the push of a button or the turn of a **** while you're driving down the road, no pulley changes.
