SuperCharger or Nitrous
I dont see any superchrged 05,s running in the 11,s.Dollar for Dollar I am way more happy with the Nitrous setup than a overpriced and Greater heat generating supercharger that will fall on its face if the temperature gets to be to great out.
Where is your intercooled turbo option? I saw one on the Powerhouse 05 run 10.60's in 90 degree heat at the World Finals.
Money not a concern, I'd have to say a supercharger for the following reasons...
1. I'm the kind of guy that would accept a challenge on the street. I couldn't be like, "Hold on dude, I gotta go turn on my nitrous, let the bottle warm up, load my nitrous tune, etc." I mean, the longest red light I've ever been to has been like 2 mins at the most...:P
2. Sucks when the bottle runs dry. I hear refills can add up quick in the money department. Also, see point 1...it would suck if your bottle ran out in the middle of something.
3. Nitrous has a reputation for being extremely dangerous.
That being said, I can't afford a supercharger right now, but I can afford a pretty nice nitrous system...so please, convince me that my points are wrong..........

I think I would rather have a developed muscle than "juiced" muscle. Plus it would be nice to have it (power) at moments notice.
Just my opinion though.
Of course running the bottle after you were blown would be somethin though, but you better have good internals in that scenerio.
If money wasn't an issue. I go supercharger

I am waiting to see how the 4.6 holds up to the superchargers out there. There are plenty of them, I like the steeda, but dont want to change my hood. Vortex is also in the running. I was wondering who bought what and how they like it.

100 Octane isnt race fuel? sure...
I vote nitrous cause there are plenty of us N20 guys running better times at the track over these supercharged setups that are supposed to provide more power. My favorite SC user was this meanie head that bolted in a ProCharger and went a high 12second in the 1/4. I tried to help the poor guy and he made fun of me. :P
Here's a better option though...
pull motor
install forged everything and gap rings for nitrous
install S/C
top off with shot of your choice.

Once I have or build a stout shortblock i will have both Poweradders.I want 9,s eventually.Charger or turbo for Boost and NOS to cool and atomise the charge.......Can you say 750HP
The debate is one that is a very good one.. To supercharge, or to go with Nitrous..
Yes, thus far the Nitrous is good.. Of course any type of permanent SC will be good.. Clockworks mentions stoplight racing which on its face dictates at some point you will get caught.. LOL!!
With the Nitrous, atleast you do have to make a decision which you are aware of the the consequences.
But I'll be honest, I'm not really too sure myself whats better.. Lets say you got the bottle filled twice a month at a cost of $30 bucks a month..
This is $360 bucks a year to run nitrous, in 5 years, this is $1800 bucks..
In 10 years this is $3600 bucks!! Geeze guys!! Looks like Nitrous is actually better for the longterm!!

Hey Cleveland! Whats your best 1/8th mile run time and speed with your car at the 336RWTQ number?
My guess would be you should be somewhere around 80+ or minus 1 to 2 MPH at the 1/8th marker... Is this close?

Same question for you mikem.. Also for mikem, whats your car rated at in regards to RWTQ.. The official dyno number?
I am guessing mikem, your 1/8 th mile is 93mph?
My 1/8 mile best is 7.60@92.09

Just as a little aside...how many of you nitrous users are making payments on your car?
I would LOVE to add a major power adder to my car, but rational thought tells me it is idiotic to do it to a car that I don't fully own yet...although it is my 2nd car...

That comment is kinda like wearing a NOPI hat to a NMRA event.
