Summit Racing offroad H...

I installed it today, and it seems to be smoking a bit (coming out of the axleback). It seems there was this greasy stuff all over the H pipe that it must be burning off. Anyone else witness this?

Some kind of coating on the inside that burns off gradually.. I had the same thing on my Pypes H. Should burn off eventually.

Alright cool. Another question...my axlebacks are a bit off now. I knew, there was a good chance they would move, and know how to correct it, but it is not working. I made sure the h pipe was slightly loose and had someone hold the axlebacks center while I tightened. The driver's side is fine, but the passanger side is just hanging about 1/2 inch too low.

The smoke from a new H-pipe is normal. They also use a lubricant to bend the pipe bender. It is normal. Sounds like you just need to loosen the midpipe clamp and readjust the passenger side. It takes a couple of trys some times.

Looks great. Vapor silver looks so good.

How were they "off?" For example, were they off to the sides, or where they too low or high?

After installing my MRT H pipe, it took me forever to get the Hooker Aerochambers aligned right

you just need to loosen the midpipe clamps and the axleback clamps and play around with adjustments - really helps to have a second set of hands. Keep that up though and you'll get ti fixed.
