Stock shocks with eibach pro springs
The eibach springs drop the rear 1.4 inches. Would that be the out side edge of the stock shocks use ability. The reason I ask is when I hit a larger bumps it sounds like my rear end is going to fall off, or is it that my shocks just bottoming out? I have cut all but the bottom nub on the bump stops. Should I just remove them all together. Should I have left them in tact and not cut them at all?

Glenn... I used the OEM dampers with my Ground Control Coil-over Conversion Kit with Eibach Sport Springs for a while and the OEM dampers are prone to bottoming out.. they are just to long for lowered cars... my car is currently set at 1.25 front and 1.3 rear... I cut the rear bump stops down to 1" height.
You will probably have the noise and a harsher ride until you go to a shorter damper set. Going to the FRPP dampers make a lot of difference in the ride quality over the OEM dampers.

The way this (and other) car is designed, the shock or the strut will not bottom out. If they were to, their life is usually short lived because they can not withstand that kind of treatment.
When you lower your car you reduce the bump travel. A 1.5" drop eats up nearly 50% of your stock bump travel! You compenstae for the less bump travel with higher rate springs and higher rate damping. The higher rate damping also serves to control the higher rate springs.

found one of my sway bar links came loose I didn't replace the nuts like I was supose to. That helped a lot. I can say for sure don't drop it more than one inch with out changing shocks and and struts..... and heck if you can swing it get them even if your droping it an inch. You won't be sorry!
