Question Steering Stops

I recently bought a set of 2008 CS gt500 Shelby wheels. Recommendations from the seller are that I buy a particular steering stop to accommodate the new wheels. The tires are 255x18 front and 285x18 rear. Has anyone had any issues with not buy the suggested steering stops?

I run 275s on factory 18s and have never had any issues.

Thanks guys. Now I need to get my TPMS coded, and I'll be ready to head for the Sturgis South Dakota Mustang Rally. Pretty good time.
