Steeda Upper Strut Mounts

So I figured I needed to correct the camber so I don't chew up my new tires. My car also had the famous strut mount popping going on. Ford would not perform the TSB due to the after market springs being installed. I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone a pick up the Steeda upper strut mounts. I installed them last week and got my alignment perfect!BUT the popping is still there and now it is even worse than before.I have been driving it for over a week now and it is driving me NUTS! I installed them just like the directions say without any complications. Everthing is tight, I have checked and rechecked. Only thing I did not do was torque the center strut nut to 46ft. lbs. with a torque wrench due to the fact that it just spins the rod since you can't counter hold it when there is a socket on there. So I just snugged it down with a wrench while counter holding it with a 10mm.

The popping is definatly coming from both sides. I am kind of at a loss on what to do. Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks!

Sorry no help here , I had Steeda install the mounts on my car and it took care of the popping. You might give them a call ...

Check set of springs. Make sure that orientation is correct.

Thanks for the responses. I'm just gonna pull it in the shop and disassemble everything and see what I find. I'm wondering if my noise is coming from somewhere else (not originally the strut mounts) and when I installed the Steeda USM's it amplified the noise due to the stiffer materials used. We'll see, I just know it's annoying as hell...lol.

It's like a "wobble" noise over bumps and when turning into driveways and what not. Sounds like a worn bushing from my expereince. But everything is tight...

Definately check the sway bar end links and make sure they're torqued correctly. I had the popping noise on the passenger side after the installing the steeda strut mounts and it was due to the end link not being tight enough.
