I still love mine. I have read else where other shocks are not necessary. Question, are you going to autocross your car or attempt it occasionally? If so you might want to go with a total package (Steeda offers one, FRPP as well).

If you are going to in the near future change your struts and shocks do it now.....you are there anyway.

I added a a arm brace and a adj. panhard from BMR. It paid off when I went with new rims. Go to my got stang site and see what I did to my car.

Good luck.

I love them! Lowers just enough to get a perfect stance, and maintains "CLOSE" to the factory ride comfort:

Attachment 11482 Attachment 11483

The stock struts/shocks aren't really designed to operate in the range they are in when the car is lowered. This isn't so bad with Steeda Ultra Lites, but pretty bad with Eibach Sportlines. Even with the Ultra Lites, however, the ride is a little more "busy", for lack of a better term. I'm going to switch over to FRPP struts and shocks down the road. This will help with the ride feel.

I swear that FRPP sold a strut/shock package. Now, all I can find is just the struts:

http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...tKeyField=8684

That was the same price for all 4 struts and shocks... and now it looks like you don't get rear shocks, but pay the same amount! I know this is true, because I remember saying that $100 per corner isn't that bad to get back a better ride feel... now it's $200 per front corner!!

EDIT: OK, I'm an idiot... I did more searching on the web and found this at RPM Outlet:

https://www.rpmoutlet.com/ezRetail/s...hp?msg_id=1085

It actually, unlike the Ford Racing Catalog, says "Ford Racing Shocks/Struts Kit".

At any rate... that's the kit I would like to get eventually... hopefully sooner than later!

Also, the
tokico shocks would be perfect, but aren't they a little $$$? The adj panhard bar will probably be necessary, but I know a couple people whose cars ended up perfect AFTER the drop. You'll have to let the springs settle first and then check the rear axle.

The combo you are looking at is totally sweet and you will be happy with it. Stay with the Tokico D-Specs.

I would really like to hear about the ride you get with your package- I am looking at the Tokico's. My ride is "busier" too with the Ultralites, and I can tell that the stock struts are not going to work in the new range that they have to deal with. I would like to return my car to as close to stock ride quality that I can, while still maintaining some extra firmness.

Please post a review, if you would, of ride quality, especially over expansion strips and poor roads.

Right now, my car rides pretty good until I hit something uneven in the road, then it practically leaps off the ground. Extra firmness does not always equal better traction. If my wheels are coming off the ground, there's no way I can have better traction!!

Thanks.

took the car to a friends shop to check alignment this morning. the good news was it was almost perfect. with a little tweeking it was dead on. did my panhard bar my self last night and when we checked it it was 0.03 off.
spent about an hour of drive time and i can say the set up is incredable. the car handles and looks like a different car. my only complaint is that i waited almost 2 years to do it.

That must be correct. I would hate to lower the front more than the back. That's part of the reason to lower it... to get that rear end lower. Steeda Ultra-Lites are approximately 7/8" in the front 1 1/4" in the rear.

i have the steeda springs, d-spec shocks, steeda LCA's, and steeda panhard bar w brace. I love it, close to stock ride quility at 4 ont he shocks, turns like crazy at 3 setting. I would do it all over again the same if i had to, but i would have bought the 3rd link and installed it too.

I kinda dig the raked look and wish more companies offered less of a drop in the rear. If done correctly it looks great. On my '04 I had the Bilstein kit which dropped the front slightly more than the back.

Wow, what did that set you back? The thought of the $$$ for Tokico's is turning me off this mod for the time being...

Does the FRPP Handling Pack do essentially the same thing? (of course not adjustable like the D Specs) Maybe that is a cheeper alternative?
