Steeda Tri-ax shifter squeek...

I hate it.

I know it's the shifter because I put my hand on it, resting, and it squeekes louder.

I'm going to try some spray on lithium grease in the ball area but wow is it annoying.

anyone know of something better than lithium grease for the ball?

Make sure you don't have the shift-stops set in too far. Just an idea

I'll check it this weekend.

I assume your thinking that they are very close to the shifter handle and that they are rubbing against the handle?

Yes. My Pro50 did that the first time. I thought I had the stops adjusted right per the instructions, but I must not have. The shifter was usually fine until I hit a certain RPM, then it would rattle and buzz and make all kinds of weird noises. I backed the stops out just a hair, and all noises are gone. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

LOL Tom,

06, without using calipers to set the spacing to the amount the instructions say, I used a standard paper clip to gage the gap. Worked perfect.
