I emailed steeda yesterday and they said that they should have a Cold Air Intake kit available withing the next 10-14 days.

Here is the link for their site in case you haven't seen it. They have some good looking products.

Just surfed their site, you can buy the Magnaflow catback through them for over $200 less than buying it directly from Magnaflow, does that make any sense to anyone?

I don't see the CAI kit on steeda's site.

Holderca1, that does seem odd with that price difference. Partshopper's price is pretty much the same as Steeda's.

I was at steeda a week ago and they told me 2 weeks for the CAI. My guess is it won't be available for another 3-4 weeks. I'm out of the market for a CAI now. I'm waiting for a S-Charger now!

That does seem like a large difference. But I had a similar situation with different companies. The direct manufacturer was selling it for more than a distributer. I asked they manufacturer, and got a general answer; "They can sell it for what ever they want, we only suggest what they sell it for." And since they buy it at a wholesale price, it will be cheaper to them than to us at the manufacturer's site.

Yes it will have a heatshield. Below is a pic. This is from www.50resto.com which has one of the largest selection of '05 parts out there. There is no price though. But it looks like they will have it ready as soon as Steeda and for probably the same price. I have ordered stuff from 50resto before... I highly recommend the site. However, I have already ordered the MMR intake kit (arriving tomorrow) because I think Mark at MMR is doing some great stuff and will be able to get more power out of the '05 than Steeda. Eventually I will order the MMR intake upgrade kit with heatshield and stainless straight hose.
