Yes, Borla stated that in the past, but he also mentioned that the FRPP 5GTs do NOT carry the Borla warranty. Im not sure why but they claimed they manufactured them to Ford's specification and not Borlas. Now that you mentioned the Steeda's are Magnaflows, I wonder how much louder they are over stock?

I just watched a video of a 2007 GT drag racing a 2006 Charger R/T. The GT had no mods other than SLP LM's. These are supposed to be the loudest mufflers, yet they didn't sound like it. I couldn't hear the exhaust from 1/8 mile away.

I'm not sure, if this is accurate or not ? but supposedly Ford racing covers the warranty for their 5GT Stingers, under Ford's new FRPP warranty program..As for the Steeda/Magnaflow's ? my understanding is, there're moderately louder than stock, but not nearly as loud, as FRPP stingers nor SLP loudmouth's

true to that!

I listened to quite a few videos on the Internet and the Bassanis sound the same in real life (a deep muscular growl).

I have not heard the other exhaust systems in person but I'm not convinced that the aftermarket axle-backs will do much with the stock H-pipe and cats still in place.

Heh, if I wasn't going on vacation today, I would ask one of the Steeda guys that come into my place where they get thier axlebacks. Hopefully, I will remember when I get back to check it out.

Wow, never had that kind of response over a simple correction of info.

Guess i'll just let you continue spreading misinformation instead, and let my reps tell the truth to those who decide to call and get the right information.

Correction ! I just spoke with Pat from Steeda, and it appears that my prior info I had obtained, was inaccurate, as Borla does indeed manufacture their axle backs, and designs them to Steeda specifications..That being said ! I apologize for posting inaccurate info.

Funny, Borla said they don't manufacture the Steeda Axle-backs. Now Steeda claims Borla does manufacture their axle-backs. So what's the real story on this?? The more research I conduct in S197 axle-backs, the more I want to stay with my stock mufflers.

And just who do you think, I got my misinformation from to begin with ? In addition, is this also how you show your appreciation towards one of you're repeat customer's, by accusing them of spreading misinformation, in which was obtained by one of you're reps, in the first place ! And perhaps you should also ask Jason who I'am, as I purchased both my cold air intake, and underdrive pulleys from him as well, before you accuse me of any wrong doing !

it sure doesn't make any sense, does it ? because I got the very same story from Borla as well.

OK, OK, besides this school yard bickering on who makes the Steeda Axle backs, why does it matter? Besides price what are you looking for, the sound?

I can say with 100% certainty weather Borla or Magnaflow makes the Steeda backs, they sound the same as the FRPP/Stingers. I have the FRPP's with the Magnaflow catted X. My friend has the exact same exhaust with Steeda backs. Close you eyes and listen to them you couldn't tell who's car is who's, they sound identical.

It's important for me to find out as much info as possible on the axle-backs, after all they are asking for well over $400 for these things. The least they could do is provide more technical info on the construction/materials.
