George, are you running your 05 next week at FFW?And if so what class.Seems like real street would be the one.Or the one that you cant run quicker than 12.5.I am trying to decide if it is worth it or not. With my new 4.10s I should be able to go high 12,s.

If I get the car done in time I'll probably run in the Street Ford class. $50.00 entry fee and a $10.00 buy back if you lose in the first round.
Those wheels and tires look awesome, better than I imagined. Keep working on getting up to Kentucky, my wife and I would like to meet up with you guys. I will be going back to the track this Friday night in hopes of some more passes in the 11's, it seems they are hard to come by when you get going that fast. Each 1/10th of a second is like gold. Talk to you soon,
Derek

It's only 16 hrs to Bowling Green from here. I need to get my car squared away!
David... very nice set up on the Bogarts!!!!
Color me green with jealousy!! :worship:
As I recall, George had to replace the wheel studs... did you? If not, why the difference between the two cars? Thanx...

I haven't replaced the front studs yet. I put in Moser axles in the rear's which I ordered 3" studs for the setup. The front's are a bit more involved. There are no 3" studs readily available that will fit the front. George sanded his out so the studs would fit. I will be doing this soon though. It's a NHRA rule to have 3" studs. My local track follows NHRA rules and I believe the NMRA does as well. I hear it's one of the oldest rules they have.
Thank you for the compliments!
I did put the shims in today, so my clutch is mighty fine now. I just need to figure out the reacurring CEL now!

As for the 3inch studs rule I know about it and have seen it enforced but at all of the tracks that I have raced at there hasn't been one thing said about me using the stock lug nuts/studs. Here is where I have raced so far and they all follow NHRA rules:
Gateway International Raceway, St Louis MO.
Ozark International Raceway, Rogersville MO.
Kansas City International Raceway, KC MO.
Tulsa Racepark, Tulsa OK.

I was told that I should get some caps for the front lugs to enclose the ends of the studs. I don't mind putting in the 3", it's just a pain to get them to fit.

If the nut breaks away from the shank you'll lose the wheel.
