SoCal Drag Racing this weekend, 9/8-9/9

After many, many months, I will finally be making a return trip to the drag strip this weekend.

I will be joined by several other supercharged 2005 Mustangs coming out of S.T. Motorsports. There will be two or three KBs, one Vortech, and one Saleen. All but one of the cars have built motors. We will be running on the 1/8-mile tracks at Qualcomm on Friday night and Barona on Saturday night. I suspect that of those cars, one or two will run in the mid to high 7's, two of us in the mid to low 7s, and Adam ought to run in the 6's. He's pushing 21 lbs of boost, and will be way over 600rwhp/630rwtq... and likely closer to 700!!

So, if any of you can make it, come join us as we go hunting Chevys and Mopars (and a few ricers who don't know any better). And if you can't make it, I'll be posting up a bunch of videos and pics sometime Sunday or Monday for your viewing enjoyment.

Good luck Don, with that built up motor I don't think you'll need it. I was JUST about to ask you what your times are lately. Looking forward to seeing what you're running with some of my future mods!

Thanks guys... I'm hoping for consistent 7.50s (1/8-mi), because anything lower than 7.49 might get me asked about a roll cage. I'm just not ready to do that yet. My car is still a daily driver, and the lack of a cage keeps me from going nuts and shooting for 10s. And in case you're wondering... 7.50 in the 1/8 is about 11.65 in the 1/4; and 7.40 is about 11.50. And in the 1/4, the roll cage rule kicks in at 11.49.
