Naw, Prius. Ever been in one at a stop light with the a/c off? Nothing, total silence.

I'm going to give it a couple months to see how i really like them.

Its not too loud if I drive easy and dont nail the gas all the time.

I pulled out today and was able to keep the noise down by shifting early or driving at a certain speed but in a higher gear.

I will see how it goes in the next few months... and make a final decision.

I do love the sound though.. even the popping when accelerating and decelerating....

my GF really loves it...

I can't argue with her or i'll be in trouble... hahahhaah

Its quite the thrill, you stop and your like "Oh chit I stalled it", and hit the clutch, which doesn't exist. Then the realization that you're driving a battery powered car sets in, and you spend the rest of the night silently creeping up on people and then scaring the crap out of them as you speed by.

I could see a few instances where that silence could be a bad thing.

Well, today I drove to work in traffic and it wasn't that bad. I mostly do bumper to bumper traffic so the noise level was very minimal and when I rolled off the freeway and got on it, she screamed.

I guess it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be for daily driving.

On the weekends is the only real time it's going to be driven hard and give out lots of noise...

Tell that to a guy I know. He's 51, high school car was a stock 440 Six-Barrel 'Cuda. Said it'd turn sideways at 50 if you punched it.

So me a SN-197 GT that'll do thaty, even with thee traction control off.

Is that necessarily a good thing? Sounds like it could be hella dangerous and unstable to me! Imagine going sideways on the fwy at that speed!

I had a friend with a turbo supra with upgraded turbo's and a 100shot to "soften out the deadspot between the first/second turbo"....

at freeway speeds, like 60, he downshifts and nails it... the big turbo's come online and the 100shot hits... we go sideways and he almost looses it....

I never rode wiht him again....

You guys ever hear the term "musclecar?" That's what it's all about. The ability to drift without the steering wheel.

The new 'Stangs are to mild, too watered-down. Except for the Shelby GT.
