SLP LM = Headache

It's been on the car for less than 8 hours, 2 of it driving and OMG!

I don't know how long it's going to last before I put the stock mufflers back on....

Althought I DO love the sound... it's REALLY loud!

anyone got any asparin?

Be thankful you didn't install an O/R H-Pipe with your LM's. Otherwise, you'd get an Aortic aneurysm!

Wink I recommend a good set of ear plugs !!

That way you don't have to hear the loud exhaust or your wife !!

Honestly I was worried like you when I first put mine on, but after a year I still have it on and have gotten used to the sound. Its really not so bad unless you get on it. I see plenty beater hondas and such that are much louder.

Well today I got a slight headache, but my gf didn't.

She drove for a couple hours and I noticed (and she admitted) that when she pulled out at a light, she was so engrossed in the sound and the torque of the car sounding and feeling like it wanted to go faster.. that she kept on the gas longer and shifted and drove faster than she normally drives.

She wasnt upset by the sound and didnt get a headache...

I must be getting old.

As for the wife, she's heard it but not ridden in the car yet so she really has no idea how loud it is....

and yes, I must be getting old.... because it is loud.

I'll keep the SLP LM on for a while until one day I can't stand it anymore.

Next step... rims/tires and slotted rotors w/ stainless brake lines.

My wife is Taiwanese and my GF is Japanese.

They both know about each other too...

I don't consider myself a player, more like a great guy that a second woman appreciated and it worked out.

There are occasional problems that pop up, as does with anyone who has two women that know about each other... but so far so good.

I've had a GF for almost a year now and my wife for 4 years.

I'd try to explain it but a lot of people dont agree with this lifestyle.

Just FYI...

My friends know about my situation and they think i'm nuts but they dont treat me any different than anyone else... even the women-friends.

Some people meet my gf and I say "this is my wife" and some people meet my wife and I say "this is my wife"... it all depends on who i'm with and where.

I went to a party in bel aire and my friends who hadnt seen me in a long time were there.. and i introduced my gf as my wife and other than a quick second glance noone said a word.

some of them told me later that they were in no position to judge because life sucks and you get what you can and make the best of it.

Rock on!

if they are to loud, get rid of them. what is "to loud" is different for different folks. Personally, me I just like a nice sound and not to loud.

However, my old camaro had cutouts after the headers (basically, open headers), that thing would give me headaches (not to mention the fumes) when I ran it open, and on the freeway it would make my ears ring like I had been to a rock concert. At first I absolutly loved it, I loved setting off peoples car alarms 15 yards away at idle, but then it started to really get to me so I would only un-cork them for car-shows.
