Slave cylinder throwout bearing
Hey guys,
It's time for a new clutch (85k hard miles) and I'm pretty much set on the Exedy Mach 500. Should I get the kit with the Exedy slave cylinder or get the kit without the slave cylinder and buy a Ford slave cylinder. Some people swear by the Ford cylinder, but I'm wondering if that's just a bunch of hype? The Exedy slave cylinder seems to have great reviews and is half the price. Thanks.

Thanks for the post Tim. I agree with you that all of the photos I've seen of various brands look the same. What are your thoughts on using the pilot bearing that comes in the clutch kit?

I've been doing some homework , getting ready for when it comes time to change my clutch. From what I found out, it seems that Exedy makes the OEM clutch and slave cylinder for the Mustang. If that's the case , that's what I'm gonna go for. I'll do a new clutch and slave/throwout with a steel braided line to replace the stock one, should make for a nice set up.
