I used to pour 87 octane in my GT and even tried Petro-Canada's 94 octane for a couple of tanks but none compared to the new V-Power gas from Shell(91 octane).
My completely stock GT runs silky smooth like it never has before

I have beem using Shell 93 Octane since I picked up the car in Feb of this year. No issues with it other than the price, but they are a darn site better than BP which runs about 20 cents more per gallon than the Shell 93.

I've tried 2 different BP stations here, both make my car ping where the Chevron or Shell doesn't.

I don't think it will go to that extreme, but nontheless this is marketing taken a little too far.

My car runs best on Shell too. Chevron isn't offered here in Indiana but I have ran it too while traveling and it seems to increase the fuel mileage a little bit and runs great! BP gas here, is the old Amoco which has the ultra clean Ultimate gas. I have tried it and it runs very smooth but I get the best performance with Chevron and Shell. All 87 octane for me, so far No CAI for me yet but I plan on getting it soon and a tune. We also can get Sunoco 94 octane here. Haven't tried it though.

If you are going to use 91 octane then I recommend getting a programmer from Superchips or Predator so that you can benefit from the fuel. The computer which is mapped to use 87 octane will lean out your A/F mixture trying to compensate for all the unburned fuel going out the exhaust.

You won't do any harm runnning premium in a stock GT.
and if you choose to run 87 the knock sensors will accomodate that.

I use Sunoco or Shell. They do not use any oil from the middle-east.
The Dept of Energy tracks oil imports by company each month. Here's the link, The latest monthly Company Level Imports files..

BP/Amoco Always made my last 2 cars exhaust smell like rotten eggs. Anywhere else it was fine. Plus a clogged fuel filter after 10,000 miles on premium also discouraged me from ever using them again.
