It's a system. Gotta get the hood with the Fang. In fact, are they even selling this separately Or just the whole car  That sure seems to be the aim of their site that's for sure.

You can buy just the kits at Supertune Performance in the Kansas City area.

Here is a price sheet that fang sent me (attachment).

Also here is a response I got from Terry @ Fang. I was asking about the non shaker hood (see below). I don't think he will mind if I quote him here.

The other hood you are asking about is the shaker hood with a 69-70 bolt on style scoop. We specifically did this for the v6 guys but it does look awesome and also is functional. The price on it is 1149.00. It is set up for turn signals on the back edge of the scoop and we are awaiting a kit from CDC to do this. Hood pins (twist locks) are optional and are 200.00 shipped and 230.00 installed. Front airdam is 225.00 + shipping or 300.00 painted and installed. We are working on a honeycomb panel but have been at the mercy of the machine shop for about 2 months so I have no firm date. Shipping your stock hood back (around 140.00) depending how far west in TX you are.
Yeah, if you are going to keep the stock hood, then CDC might be a better route (make better use of the shaker's ram air)

Thanks for the info Mark... At least now I don't have any lingering self doubts, and I'm glad I ended up going the way I did. The CDC was the best option for me.

Before getting the CDC I was looking at the Fang. The guys from Fang told me you had to get the hood with their system because of the issues cutting a hole in the factory hood (I had not problem). The Fang shaker is designed to have the air coming into the shaker route through their hood and over top of the factory air box. If you were to keep your original hood the ram air part of this system would be non existent.
