For those of you who have reflashed your ECU with the SCT - was your stock tune still saved? ...i.e., the SCT will not pull the existing tune in and save it over the stock tune already saved on the SCT?

My CEL light tripped when I installed the Steeda ud pullies and it has not cleared after several ignition cycles....so I'm going to reflash to see if that will clear it.

Or would disconnecting the battery for a few minutes accomplish the same thing?

thx

I'd try the battery the first. Give the ECU a chance to reset and then see if the CEL comes back on after a few driving cycles.

The SCT will not write over the stock tune no mater how many times you load in the custom tunes. I would try the battery first also. When you first fire it up after the battery disconnect make sure you let it idle for a few minutes. I know I read that on a post here somewhere but I couldn't find it. Maybe you can..

Thanks guys - I'll try the battery 1st - Ron good advice - the OM even has the procedure for "re-training" the ECU after disconnecting the battery.

Even though I didn't read this in time to tell you about the battery dsconnect, congrats on getting that fixed. Can you tell a difference after installing the pulleys and having the computer recognize them?
