SCT XCal VS SCT XCAL II

I currently have the orginial SCT XCal with Doug's tunes. I still get some hesitation in the lower RPM range and I am running the 91 octane performance tune. Am I going to gain any benefits by upgrading to the XCal II? I am running 4:10 gears. Can you change that yourself on the XCal II and will it let you change the gears on the stock tune? Just wondering how much benefit I would get from buying the XCal II tuner?

Of course after I buy the XCal II they will probably immediately release the new and improved Xcal III!

you can change it yourself yea along with many other options on the fly from the unit itself. i have both the xcal 1 and 2. xcal 2 from my intake and gears and o/f road pipe before i got the kenne bell s/c which came with the xcal1. the xcal2 is 10x better than the 1.

The tunes are the same, so its not going to change any hesitation you may be feeling unless by adjusting options you eliminate it. I would contact Doug and see if he can see something wrong with the tune and send you a new one. I had a slight issue with the race tune when I first got it and by describing where I was having an issue he was able to see the problem and email me a new tune withing a day.

I don't really see any benefit from the XCal II other than data collection.

I have an XCal I and it does everything I need it to do. USB support would be nice though.

Hell, I have an Xcal 1 laying around... never been used. And it probably never will (unless I sell it or give it away).
