I am in the market to buy a SC, I have not decided on the Roush or the Saleen. I am still doing some research/reading. Does anyone here know where there is an installer in the Tidewater/Hampton Roads are of Virginia? I am sure I can do it myself but I would rather have some else with the experience in the tuning do it for me. Hopefully they would have the dyno also. Thanks in advance for any info.

 

why not install it yourself, load the canned tune that comes with the kit, then drive it to a tuner for a custom tune. i have been running the kenne bell canned tune for over a month now with no issues, even have a few passes at the track with it. gonig to have it custom tuned july 13th

 

Frankly, both the Saleen and the Roush in their basic configuration are not monster power adders. They are low boost (4-5 psi)and the supplied tunes are very conservative. For additional $$$$, you can get aftermarket goodies to make the Saleen a very nice unit.

But, having said that, you really should take a look at the Kenne Bell. It looks as if they are now shipping a 2.6L blower (instead of the 2.4L). The Saleen is 2.3 and the Roush is a 1.6 (I think). And the KB 8psi intercooled kit is 100% complete right out of the box, and typically dynos out at between 440-450rwhp (manual trans). Oh, and one more thing... the KB is the only blower to locate the air filter outside the engine compartment and away from all that superheated air.
