SCT Tune: 89 vs. 93
SCT Tune: 89 vs. 93
I drive an automatic GT with a CAI and an 89 octane SCT tune (xcal II) done by the good folks at Dallas Mustang (No "torque" or "performance" -- it just says "K&Ncai 89 octane" on the screen).
It's much more responsive now, especially at low speeds. At highway speeds, however (like anything above 65 mph), it's pretty ordinary. My wife's Audi A4 2.0 may even be faster from 60-80.
If anyone has had an 89 tune and a 93 tune, I'd like to hear your impressions of the difference -- particularly if the 93 will add a little more punch in the higher (passing) gears. Thanks.
