Per the General Manager - the QUicktune 2005 should be relased Christmas week (next week) along with the 1-2 shift update.

get to put any of that to work yet?
edit:
n/m i see the other post now.
15 hp gain basically - it was only only slight top end - but a bit of more response is what I noticed from the timing and A/F ratios chagnes. BUT the other changes, tranny, RPM gear chagnes, etc - is where I felft the most - since this is my 2nd dyno/tune.

The XCalibrator is the most flexible Ford PCM reflashing tool in the world. Now ALL 1996 - 2005 OBD-II Ford Vehicles can be custom tuned with a single device. SCT is the first aftermarket company to have custom tuning available for the all-new 2005 Mustang. Also available for the first time anywhere is the custom tuning for the widely popular 04 – up F150 truck and 03 – 05 F250 – F550 6.0L Diesel. No more sending your PCM to your SCT dealer for reflashing.
The XCalibrator will also work with the SVT Focus, Lincoln LS, 00 – up Thunderbird and the new 205 mph Ford GT. These vehicles no longer have a J3 port connector in the back of the PCM/EEC to except a chip. The newer type PCMs can’t be access the same way the older EEC IV/Vs were. To access these required special equipment to read and reflash each type of PCM. The XCalibrator will do them all, ECC V, PTEC or the new Power PC Processor.
This flash device is a small hand held box that can hold up to 3 custom program files plus save your factory file so you can restore your vehicle back to stock at a later time.
To program your vehicle you just plug it into your diagnostic port and follow a very simple sequence using 5 LEDs and 2 buttons. Unlike the Micro Tuner it has no LCD screen. Each device is VIN locked to the vehicle it programs just like the Micro Tuner.

I'm still very new to all the Mustang terminology and this whole "flash" business, but I saw a post that inquired about the warranty situation... all I can say is be careful!! I have a 2001 Dodge Durango (waiting on delivery of my '05 manual Mustang GT) and I put a chip onto the ECU and within 2 years it shot the transmission and the bastards at the dealership were able to tell what was going on, and instead of being nice commoner type of guys, they reported it to the warranty company... so I lost my extended warranty AND had to shell out $3,700 hard earned dollars for a new transmission... it was not cool
I'm interested in getting my Mustang flashed/tuned, but how can I find a place that does this? Or is it something you buy and do yourself? I looked on the SCT website and didn't find a dealer locater so I wouldn't know how to find a tuner.
Nevermind, found dealer locater.

Just flashed mine today with the SCT xcalibrator. This is a question for you guys that used the same product. After flashing your computer, what is your idle rpm? Did it change or stay the same? Mine went from 700 rpm to 900 rpm.
Forgot to mention, what is the deal with the Quicktune software? Still waiting for it. I got the pc cable with the SCT but it is pretty useless for now, well unless I get files sent to me that I can upload to it.
I guess a tough thing for me is I have nobody in the area that "tunes" cars so I really don't have the knowledge on how to tune it properly myself. So far I am just running with the default tune that came with the SCT (preset to match the mods I made to my car).
How do you figure out A/F ratio changes?

I am sorry Adrenalin, the dyno will show you your current a/f ratio, SCT will need to give you the code used to change it with the Xcalibrator. (If they knew you installed the mmr, they prolly already compensated for it in the tune, but you'll be able to check it while it's on the dyno). I just looked up my last dyno chart and they adjusted a/f to 13 from 14.5. Hope this helps.
