saleen water pump timer

from what i read the saleen sc no longer uses a water pump timer.so, what seems to be the proper way to wire it into the system?i just thought about fastening it to a switched on only wire and if so should i use a relay.so far the install of the sc has been easy.

According to instructions they have you tie into the SBJ on a delayed hot wire but I just went straight into the engine bay fuse box on a keyed circuit on both the installs Ive done and it works fine. The reason they have it going to the SBJ is so that it doesn't turn on at the same time you are starting the car. But I don't see where the pump puts that much of a draw that it could cause a problem. I see no difference in starting with or without it.

It runs into the passenger side panel to a hot wire, if you need i can find the directions when I did mine and let you know which wire it gets connected to.

Yes i went round and round with them about the directions, Well finally convinced the one I was dealing with the directions were wrong for the kit I had and obtained the correct one, Install was not that bad, just lifting the setup was the bad part, and the cheap hose clamps that want to break, good luck ,I know i am glad i did mine myself,It makes the car a blast to drive, 418 to the wheels,
