Saleen Supercharger with stock GT...

Do you guys think I will have any drivability issues without upgrading the suspension?

I'm just worried that I won't be able to control the car when I go WOT. Money is kinda tight and I'll probably only be able to afford the SC+labor(+ possibly a wideband sensor and guages).

I just want to be able to get the baseline stuff for now, and upgrade the suspension later when funds are restored.

Thanks, guys!

Yeah no doubt. I want to be able to really rip off the line, and to me that's a big reason why I chose to get a Twin Screw.

The low end torque will absolutely kill you until you get some rear end suspension mods and stickies. With my mods and the stock all seasons if I launch hard I spin through the entire first 3 gears and a chirp in 4th. Another good 60+rwhp = ugly off the line.

If you can swing an extra $100 or so I would recommend LCAs. You are going to have a real problem with wheel hop with all that power. Have fun man. I'm jealous! ;-)

Sorry bud but you won't be ripping off the line with a twinscrew and stock setup, I won't happen. You can get away without upgrading anything but you won't be able to get a great launch off the line, YOU WILL SPIN! You will just have to watch how you drive it with all that extra power and don't go too crazy with the hp numbers on the stock setup and you will be fine...

you'll spin. With stock tires and stock suspension, you'll probably spin through your first 2 or 3 gears if you floor it from a stop. Even with upgraded suspension, you'll still spin hard. You'll need sticky tires. Your tires are the last thing to transfer the power, that's your last link.

I have a saleen s/c and 4.10 gears. It is not hard to control at all. The car actually goes pretty straight when launched hard. I might do upper and lower control arms before the track opens up again, but for normal driving, I have no issues at all.

Are Nitto 555s considered sticky tires? Or when you say sticky do you mean drag radials?

Nitto 555's are summer tires. Nitto 555R's are DOT street slicks.

I am running 100% stock suspension and I turn consistent 1.60 sixty foot time while running 11.40s and I never have experienced any wheelhop.
So first see what you need before spending money on suspension parts.
If you have wheelhop - upgrade the control arms and third link.
if you want good traction don't lower the car as it changes the geometry.
Sticky tires are a must. I highly recomend Mickey Thompson ET Streets for track use but their drag radials are very sticky and will be the biggest improvement on the street.

I can spin 1st, 2nd and chirp on 3rd with the 555s with my current set-up...on the street and the strip. The MTs ET Streets knocked off .5 sec off my 1/4 mile.

Thanks Uber. It will probably save me money in the long run if I wait and see what needs changing after I get my supercharger.
