Saleen Supercharger Issue?????

I have a 2006 GT with a Saleen SuperShaker (55,000 miles 40,000 w/supercharger). The car was in today for a dynotune and ended with a problem. When I picked up the car I was told the car was making a noise. When I heard it the sound is similar to a ball card in the spokes. It seem to be coming from the supercharger. I don't really know what to do at this point so any input would be appreciated.

Hard to know without hearing it. I would talk to 281 Motorsports, maybe shoot a video & send it to them. They have alot of experience with the Saleen s/c.

I spoke to Jim Jr. at JDM this morning and his thought is that I have blown some sort of exhaust gasket. I have an appointment in the AM at a local exhaust place. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it is something simple.
A couple hundred is better than a few thousand.

This or (judging by your description) a collapsed lifter? Does the tone change with idle or just the speed of the sound?

It was my understanding there was a problem with the early Saleen superchargers for the 2005-2009, I cant recall the exact thing, weak internals maybe. I'll see if I can find the info.

Havent heard anything about weak internals. The 05 & I think 06 had an issue with the sealant on the housing. if you have blue sealant, chances are it will eventually leak s/c oil. It's hard to tell if it leaking, you wont see a puddle of oil. They dont use oil so if your oil is low it has to be leaking.

I believe you're parked in a no parking zone.

I brought the car to my local dealership and it turned out to be the exhaust manifold gasket on the drivers side. I'm so happy it was not engine or supercharger related. No I'm looking forward to a great summer to drop the top and go to some shows. Thanks for all the post and comments!
