Saleen S/C Install, DONE!
The install is finally finished and everything is working perfectly so far. It was a pretty straight forward install and at no point did the instructions completely stump me.
Lucky for me it started raining just as I got everything put back together so I havent had a change to really play with it yet. One thing that scared me was when I turned the car on for the first time and let it idle, the temp kept rising and rising. It hit 240 and I had to turn it off. Smart me forgot to hook the fan back up, doh! Once the fan was able to turn on, the temp dropped immediately and hovers around the stock temperature while driving normally.
Some notes from the install..
And finally a few pictures....

Some notes from the install..
- I didn't reclock the alternator as the saleen extreem tube does not touch the wires
- By not reclocking the alternator I was able to reuse the stock alternator cable
- I deviated from the saleen instructions on splicing the water pump into the wire inside the SJB. Instead I spliced into a switched power wire that I had already run with an add a line. The waterpump runs whenever the car is on.
- I managed to break a bolt off when mounting the drivers side fuel rail. I'll have to get that fixed.
And finally a few pictures....

Congrats on your install. Did you put in the basic kit or the upgraded one with 475hp and the bigger injectors. I did my own saleen supercharger install in my Saleen clone and it is awesome. When the roads dry out you can have a lot more fun! Enjoy!

The reason Saleen wants you to run the wire to the SJB is so that the water pump wont be ON when you are cranking over the engine. It stays off until the timer starts it seconds after the engine starts. Correct me if I am wrong?

I still have the stock pulley, went with the 39# injectors, saleen extreme intake tube and 90mm MAF. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before the pulley is replaced.
07 Hoss,
The car turns over without a problem. I don't see any adverse affect having it wired the way I do. Of course I could be completely wrong...someone tell me if I am.

Thanks everyone for welcoming me to the blown club
I took the top of the blower to a local shop here and had them grind the words off. I then primered, painted and cleared the top to match.

You are right.
You are right. That is how my setup works since I went exactly by the Saleen instructions. The pump starts running about 10 seconds after the engine is running. I don't think it matters much though since the pump doesn't draw too many amps off of the battery while starting.

Nice Job
They did a nice job. I am planning to pull mine off and have it painted to match the same color as my valve covers. I am going to leave the wording on it though since mine is a Saleen Clone
