Saleen 302 5.0

Was reading this article and got to thinking how much something like this would cost to copy. "being bored and stroked to the requisite five liters, the block receives bigger injectors, ported aluminum heads, performance camshafts, forged-aluminum pistons, forged-steel connecting rods and a forged-steel crank"

Would something like this be worthwhile cost wise? I would personally LOVE to do this but wonder what the cost breakdown would be as well as the whole noob factor that I would bring to the table on this one. If you did bore it out to a 5.0 would you have to do all of the other componets as well?

Just a thought.

Generally speaking, No. You would spend less money going with a supercharger/turbo and get more power from it, however sometimes thats just not as fun. If you're dead set on going with a 302/5.0 look into a stroker kit from a company like Livernois, or possibly Sean Hyland Motorsports (EXPENSIVE)

By the way I see you are in Austin, are you involved with Central Texas Stangs?
