So gang, like lots of others I'm still figuring out which direction to point the gun when I pull the trigger. Like all of you I've seen over and over the 400 hp figure for the Saleen Blower with 4 or 5 lbs of boost. Recently I saw a post which indicated that this is meant to be at the crank. Since I have an auto that would mean like 320 rwhp with 20% drive train loss. Assuming only 15% loss it's still 340. Solid, but hardly worth the almost 7k for blower, install and tune.

My question is for those of you who are actually running one. What RWHP are you getting. Auto or stick. Also interested in other blowers running at uber[b][size=5] safe levels.

I'm getting 355rwhp & 355f/p torque with a manual trans,Saleen 4psi blower, 39# injectors & a Predator custom tune. What's important is where the torque comes on....342 ft/p @ 3000RPM! This guarantees traction problems in 1st & 2nd gear, even with 285/40 tires.

The Saleen tune was hopeless, & their customer service was worse, but the blower is World Class.

Thanks for the intel, seems to imply I'm pretty close to right about rwhp with an auto.... I was hoping for 380 or so rwhp but insist on a safe, dependable, long term beast. Oh Well....

Hi Eric,
Pound for pound of boost all of the twinscrew blowers you mentioned will get you similiar HP #'s. And you are correct that your auto trans will steel more HP than a manual. I personally believe these engines will run fine on 6 lbs of boost with the proper gas and proper tune with no issues. With 6 lbs. you should great 360/370 rwhp with the stock internals. I would not push it beyond that without going to the forged guts. P.S. All 3 of the manufacturers you mentioned make great product so buy what you think looks good and if you can't do the install yourself, than find a local outfit to help and go with what they sell. For the street you can't beat a twinscrew supercharger because like Bob says all of that torque at low rpm is what makes a great daily driver.

I'm putting down 415rwhp with a Saleen Series VI at 4lbs boost, 39lb injectors, Steeda CAI, and a very conservative custom tune. Only running 17 degrees of timing and my A/F is 11.5 across the board.
