I want to install a supercharger on my 06 GT but I'm worried about my warranty. I read that Roush maintains the 3yr/36000 mi warranty. Does it have to be installed by the dealer to preserve that warranty?
Do you have any idea what a dealer would charge??

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I believe it has to be installed by a certified tech, thats about it. I think toolttime has the Roush, try PMing him.

I did it myself and sent the warranty in but I am a licensed auto mechnic also. haven't heard from thenm since. The install was so easy that I can't see anything that could happen to screw something up. here is the install my son and I did with pics and comments.

My dealership has a yellow '06 convertible that they are modifying. It currently has the 18" chrome bullitts, 255/45 tires in front and 285/40 tires in the rear, and flowmaster mufflers.

My salesman told me they are putting the Roush supercharger in there next. I asked about the warranty, and he said that the supercharger voids the Ford warranty, but Roush picks up the warranty for 3 years/36,000 miles. Not sure what happens if you have a problem elsewhere in the car though, for instance if you have a brake problem - who pays then? Roush, Ford, or the car owner?

Roush covers the engine, tranny and rearend from what I understand. The remainder stays with Ford.

Any time I read/hear a sentence that starts with these four words, I have doubts about the remaining words in the sentence.

Yep. That really means 'disregard all the words that follow'.
