First Smokin looking set up. Second to piggy back a little, I'm interested in getting 380 - 400 rwhp out of my 05 auto! Since I live in a town which sees 90-105 degrees about 5 months out of the year I'm also leaning towards the Air-to-Water Intercooler. However I'm really serious about limiting my hp as I'm nervous about Rod & Piston duribility. Ultimately would it be wise to get the intercooler or is unnessary at the boost levels I'm interested in running? Want to get a fair number of years out of my street driven stang.

Eric... do yourself a favor and call S.T. Motorsports in San Bernardino. Tell Adam I sent you. Have him get you a Kenne Bell 8psi, intercooled twin screw. Drop your car off with Adam, and let him install and tune it. You will drive away with an easy 380-400rwhp with an incredibly safe tune and excellent drivability. And even better than the hp, you'll actually get low-end torque, too... power that you can feel. Something a centrifugal SC can't give you.

We stopped tuning mine at around 16 degrees of timing. It made 415rwhp and close to 400rwtq. I don't have a chart for that pull, but I have one for a previous pull. Look at the torque curve... 300+ ftlbs at 2500rpm and 350 at 3000rpm, with an automatic trans. And there is a lot more still in it when I want it.

What gauge?

Maybe it was on the Mule pictures ? I recall seeing guages on drivers left with Carrol.S sitting at the wheel ?

I just purchased and picked up a polished HO kit w/cooler today. I have 5 days to install it before my tuner (Tony G, @ HP Performance in Orange Park, Florida) "yes the same guy that built the Joe's Stage 6 twin turbo GT" leaves for SEMA. How long did it take you guys to install the system. I read the manual like 4 times know, seems really str8 forward. Any helpful hint or pointers would be well appreciated. Thanks, Jiz

Ps Tony is getting 460+ RWHP with this kit, full headers, mufflers only. (safe tune)

Just installed a Vortech without cooler on my 06. First time installing a blower. Instructions are straight forward. Actually installing the blower and bracket is cake. It is moving the power steering, modifying the coolant crossover tube and re routing of the other hoses and thermostat housing that takes the longest. I took my time over a few days and it took about 10-11 hours. Be warned, when trying to modify the coolant cross over, it is a b**ch to get the stock tubing out of the cross over tube. I had to heat it with a torch and ended up cracking the tube. It actually came out better, cause I had it welded and sealed up. Good luck.

I have the fully polished Vortech with charge cooler, I really enjoy it! I don't about brads car ,but you can here the whine very good and when setting at a red light,I have people looking over at my car. they know its just not a stock mustang. I know Brad posted in an earlier thread that the sound is not that noticable ,when first cranked, but mine is very loud and you can tell it's supercharged. Thanks Vortech! I couldn't be any happier.
