Does anybody know what is needed to add the remote start feature?

I am actually interested in this as well, because I was going to have my local Ford dealer install theirs for me so it doesn't void the warranty.

 

I had an aftermarket one added, while they were doing the tint. It works well, but I have a different key fob now. The shop mentioned something about whether they would have to stash a key under the dash, and I would have to go get another key from the dealer if I wanted to have two, because the self-learning module may not work with my car? But then they said the module was able to learn OK, so they didn't need to do that.

I'm happy with it, but since I don't want to carry two fobs, I just carry the aftermarket one now. The only thing I don't like is now the headlights don't turn on when I unlock the car. (They still do with the factory fob.)

If I had to do it over again, I probably would have gone factory, and had the dealer install it. The whole aftermarket thing was a spur of the moment decision while at the tinters.
