This is a two parter.

1) When receiving an email tune, can the datalogger just not be used to check if AFR is in spec?

2) I would like opinions and good pictures on the JLT kit. It's hard to tell from the pictures I'm finding but it looks like the C&L racer kit looks to be higher quality when it comes to build and materials.

Does the JLT seal against the hood or do a good job sealing off the intake? C&L appears to have trim around the shield where the JLT does not.

I'm contemplating an SCT3 and JLT or C&L Racer. If I get the JLT, I'll get a painted one.

 

Before my supercharger I had a jlt/tune and it was great, no problems. Its a great bang for the buck mod...

 

Some of the pictures make it look like it's made from home depot parts.
Keeping in mind I've not seen good pictures.

 

I have/had a pocketlogger for my previous car that would read air/fuel, pulse width, temps, etc from the ECU.

Is the SCT data-log function the same? Basically I'd be able to make a run and see if things are in spec. Then I'd be able to go back to the tuner company and get tweaks made if needed?

I've read tons about people using the hand held for flashing the tunes but almost nobody seems to talk about the data logger function.
