Turned out great...but Saleen's installation instruction are WRONG. If you install the way the instructions tell you 1st, 3rd, and 5th gears are nearly impossible to shift into.
Can the OEM shifter be reverted back to stock, if after modifying for the Saleen parts are done, it's not liked?

I just installed my Hurst a week ago and I love it. Like others have said, it is like night and day compared to the stock shifter. After using the Hurst, the stock shifter would feel like a wet noodle. The only annoying thing about the Hurst is it rattles at WOT. Anyone else have that rattling?
I just installed mine a week ago too, love it. Mine has no rattling to speak of. I also ordered a t-handle and a hurst equipped badge for the dash. Just put those on last night, love those too!

Not that it is your fault, but the B&M design for the 2005 Mustang GT is pretty bad. I know they make excellent products, but this one needs a redesign.

The shifter does not take into consideration the tranny movement when the car is under acceleration or braking. So when this occurs, you can hear the shifter base plate rubbing against the studs in the floorpan.

They should redesign it so that the plate can allow movement since the car has a remote gear change design and the baseplate CANNOT stay hard mounted to the floorpan. There is a similar problem with the Steeda Tri-Ax
I can accept that.I can also tell you that Tomorrow I will be the first one to try out the new ford racing shifter we make for Ford to see how it works in the car.We have not started shipping them to ford yet so I am the guinea pig..I will be happy to mention to the engineering department your thoughts and give them first hand knowledge myself on the thoughts of the shifters.obviously I only have a week under my belt and ALOT to learn, but with everyone's help and support we can continue to make quality products for us mustang people..Any other thoughts on new stuff we should be making please don't hesitate to let me know
