Rear Caliper ?

When installing the new brake pads, which way do you turn the piston? Clockwise or counter clockwise? The reason I ask, is that it seems the piston will go in no matter which way you turn the piston.

Clockwise, and it takes a lot of force - or at least mine did. But it will turn.

Push and turn at the same time.

If you are using that little block type adapter you get a Autozone, see if you can find the clamp style with the dies.

That one seems to work much better and you won't slip off the piston and crush a finger or dust boot.

The best way we have found is to put a "C" clamp on the piston to kinda break it loose a little and then use the block..........turns real easy then.
Oh yeah. don't forget to take the cap off of the brake fluid reservoir before you start.
