Real World Horsepower?
Can you guys who do alot of dyno pulls give me some real world numbers on the gains of these mods. I haven't had my car dyno'ed but I will someday, until then what are these mods worth at the rear wheels?
2005 GT 5 speed manual trans
*HP Claim
JLT cold air kit w/Brenspeed 91 tune *20-25
FRPP X pipe *5-10
JBA shorty headers *10-15
Steeda UDP's *5
Steeda CMCV *5
So if a stock Mustang GT is approx 250 rwhp then on a conservative side I am at 295 and on the other end maybe 310?

I would think around 295-300. I was at 296 with JLT intake, custom tune, offroad midpipe, and mufflers. Adding pullies, delete plates, and 4.10 gears got me 303 rwhp with another custom tune- likely the 4.10s cost me around 5 hp on the dyno.
I would say that is pretty reasonable. Although I have seen a little more out of Brents tunes.
On a stick car, I figure around 290 to the tires with a good tune. Right around 300 with the mods you mentioned.
Just keep in mind this whole 5hp here stuff, 5 hp there stuff is sort of silly. Dyno's are really just a tuning tool and all you can make are relative measurements really. And even at that, ambient conditions and dyno accuracy and variation play a big role (even with correction).
The operator plays a roll too in what numbers you will get. As does dyno brand.
All I am saying is that yes, you are in the 300rwhp range with those mods, but just keep the above in mind when playing with dyno numbers.

After the intake and tune it is a slippery hp/dollar slope indeed. The only other thing I have seen that made sense hp/$ wise for me other than a SC has been the comp NSR cams that Brenspeed is selling.
As far as headers, if I was going to go through the pain and agony of putting up with headers they would be long tubes. But that is just me.
JBA claims +21 rwhp, +25 rwtq with the cat4ward headers on a Mustang that already had the following bolt-ons:
UDPs, cat-back exhaust, CAI, Custom Tune
Anyone able to confirm? If that is true then you got more power than you giving yourself credit for, of course I think 5 hp for the x-pipe would be on the high side so maybe you not that far off.

"What'll she run" is all that matters... Seat of the pants. Like the saying on Don W's avatar(?) says; "It doesn't make any difference how much hp you have when I still can kick your a**!" Something like that.
I would like to see more uncorrected runs in ambient cold air to compare (and yours says 44F).
Cold air gives even more real HP, but you want to use SAE though to compare cars or tunes.
