Race legal at Qualcomm
Friday I went to street legal at Qualcomm. It is a 1/8 mile track. This is the firstI made few runs. Got beat by an STI, Evo ( he was moded), Mach 1 (I missed 3rd), and a Plymouth Scamp with drag slicks. I did beat a late model Golf GTI, Honda Civic and an Acura Integra GSR.
This is my fastest run.
R/T .758
60 Ft 2.514
ET 9.646
MPH 77.05
This is not a prepped track, it is basically a parking lot. I was getting wheel spin even when shifting into 2nd. Tuned Mach 1s where getting low to mid 9s. An 06 vette was also in the low 9s. I think his fastest run was 9.0.

The Mach 1 that beat me did 9.614. Not sure if he was tuned or not. I talked to one guy who had a tuned Mach 1 with drag radials and he was getting low 9s.

My best time was an 8.6 on street tires with cai/tune, udp's, cmcv delete's, and o/r h.
Last two times after adding lca's/relo's, gears, and driveshaft I can't get traction off the line and end up having to let off the gas.
BTW-auto tranny.

The STi that beat me ran a 8.6 and the EVO that beat me ran 7.5 (he was moded). Both of these cars were about 1/2 way down the track by the time I was done spinning my tires.

What's your best time without the tires??

I was down to 8.9 on street tires, and went down to 8.4 with the E/T's. I will not run without them now.

I've got an automatic and I've always gotten my best times launching at idle.
