I got my SLP's last night and when I got home it was the first thing I did. I disconnected the battery for 30 min. while I installed them. They went in fairly easy. and Holy Smokes are they nice and Loud . I like them. I like em a lot!!! My father said he could hear me coming down the street for like a min. before I got to my house. :worship: :w00t: and those tips are beautiful.

Why would you disconnect the battery? Do you honestly think your computer cares?

im no expert, its probably not necessary because i think our computers will re-adjust themselves automatically to differences in exhaust flow.

disconnecting the battery resets the computer and allows the computer to re-adjust to the new exhaust faster than not reseting it.....

I installed my SLP's and felt a power loss especially at WOT, disconnected battery per the owners manual and regained the power within 10 miles, but lost it again. there is some grey areas in the resetting the computer sceario. The first time I did it I did not drive it right away. I re-did it and drove it right away and the power returned again. As I said, grey areas in the proceedure, what setting for the a/c? do you leave the a/c on while driving? Do you drive normal or aggressive?
