With any car it comes down to driver, track, tires, etc.. It's so hard to make comparisons, but low 12's /high 11's seems realistic.

I also posted a week ago that the Alternative auto car went 12.0's at 112 on street tires with stock exhuast and full weight. It has a auto and the standard Vortech kit. It put down 399 (remember auto) at the wheels. He was installing a complete exhaust this week and hopes to break into the 11's on street tires. He also said the tranny was performing awesome at this point which is good news.

Thanks Mike

Yep if you don't drive like your on fire all the time mileage can increase. The motor should be more efficient now. You gotta love those HP /mileage mods

Sad, must need a driver or better track conditions. If I still ran 12.9's after boost I would give up.

Your right...thats not to impressive ......Lidio at AA popped a 12.0 with a none intercool Vortech,SCT tune on 93 octane with 10.5 streets and a slightly loose converter.

Jump over there elvism,he just updated the water box.

That is with the "NEW" canned predator tune vortech is offering with their kit.A/f ratio was within specs all the way up the RPM range. My tuner is a personal friend of mine and we both wanted to verify on the dyno there was no lean condition with the new tunes vortech has..Nope!..she is good to go and she goes GOOD!

a couple of quick things about the vortech kit,my car had previous mods including the sct tune, when lidio did the install,he tried the diablo set up that came with the kit,it was lean enough that he would nt let me leave with it like that;i was picking it up for memorial weekend, and he stayed way after hours and put together a whole new tune.A month after that i went back so he could move the temp sensor to the other side of the blower, when he ran it on dyno it was like 420hp,then realized that it was lean again, after some investigation it appears the fuel pump supplied with the vortech kit couldnt keep up,the computer was calling for fuel, and didnt get it,this was starting around 5 grand and got into the 14's around 6500,limiter was set to 6800.So had him set the limiter back at 6200 where it was still safe;gonna go back to the stock pump and maybe add a booster pump.Vortech said the pump wore in and because i had other mods it wouldnt keep up as well as the reason the tune was initially lean from them.So back to my other rant,if you do installs on your own great but the canned tunes are not for everyone, you need to have some one with knowledge, and experience do the final adjustments. When lidio did my tune the peak horsepower stayed the same but he got me loads more power in the lower end and it was safe.

So your the car I talked with Lidio about the other day. He says there's been several problems with the supplied tunes from both Vortech and Procharger. He even said Ford was having some problems with the GT500 at this time with the drive by wire. It's just not as easy to tune these cars like before. I have noticed that there is a trend with the fuel pressure dropping on almost every post I have seen. At this point no one is exactly sure why or at least no one has said, but Lidio said the boost a pump on his car with the stock pump holds the fuel pressure steady.

The best advice is to have it tuned on a dyno or even street tuned if you have the right equipment.

Thanks Mike
