pulled the trigger on a whipple HO

After countless hours of surfing the forums and reading which supercharger is better then the rest, search after search i have finally decided to purchase the whippleHO black satin kit form tousely ford.
I have a 2007 gt manual. if anyone reading did an install on their 07 or earlier, any pointers you would like to give? i have read the instructions about 8 times and i have to say, it doesn't look that bad to install.
How would i be able to pressure check the intercooler to make sure it is not defective and leaking? People with 07's, what kind of numbers are you seeing with the ford tune?
I am going to get a boost gauge and a fuel pressure gauge as well as a 8lb pulley. what kind of readings should i be reading at idle, cruising speed and wot for the fuel pressure?
Install of fuel pressure gauge, best place is at the crossover line... is this correct?
I cant wait for my new power to arive, looking forward to sharing the install with whoever wants to look. i will post when i get the kit delivered and start the transformation.

Awesome!!! I would consider relocating the IAT sensor to the boost side of the intake before you install the intake. Do a seach and you'll find plenty of info on this. Also scrap the Ford tune ASAP and get a custom dyno tune.

I second this, it's much more important than those other two gauges. IT kinda tells you if your engine is gunna blow up.

Congrats on the purchase though!

What price did you get it for btw? It's a gen2 right?

i was up all last night, couldn't fall asleep because all i could think about was the whipple. im going to order cobalt boost, fuel pressure and afr gauges with a sos 3 gauge pillar arm. i am also going to order the 8lb pulley. besides the misc. stuff for the install i need to get, that should be all i need. question, where can i get a fuel disconnect tool from online? thanks

You don't need a tool for the fuel line. Just get someone to pull on it while you take a small screwdriver and work it around the opening pushing the locking band outward. I can do this by myself now, but needed my son's help the first time.

i ordered the cobalt digital wideband a/f, mechanical boost gauge with a sos dual gauge pod. i also ordered a 8lb pulley. i am going to purchase thumper_rrr's tensioner so i dont have to worry about belts and pulleys breaking. got fuel disconnect, hose pinch clamp pliers and a fuel pump lock ring removal tool coming on the mail also. i did not purchase a fuel pressure gauge. anyone think i was wrong to do so. i figured if i am short on fuel, my a/f gauge will show me and i have a sct xcal2 so at least i could datalog it.. right??
i have never datalogged before, but have read about it on this forum.
My buddy is going to hel me, he has most of the tools, plus he has never done a supercharger before, so he is interested in doing it.
do you guys think my plugs should come off without any issue? i only have 5300 miles on the vehicle. i wish i had everything here already, i cant sleep at night thinking about it and surfing the forums reading about whipple's doesn't help it either.
thanks, cant wait to get her on.

Great choice, thats what i'm running. I was going back and forth between getting all three gauges ( I didn't like the look of the three gauge pod inside though) or just getting the boost and fp and finally I decided to get the boost and af. You will enjoy them, the af is most useful

You will be running the gt 500 pumps right? Don't worry about fuel problems, the wideband will indicate.

You should be fine on the spark plugs. make sure you coat the barrel area below the threads with nickel anti-seize when installing new plugs. On a blown car you should change plugs at 10-15k miles along with your fuel filter.
