The ProCharger is my first s/c and I am ignorant of the first oil change. I removed the unit, removed the magnetized oil plug and let her drip clean.

Holy crap! It looks like metallic split-pea soup. Can anyone provide some feedback on the oil change on a ProCharger ... should it be murky, charcoal with a metallic look ?

I can't provide feedback based on experience with prochargers specifically, but trust your instincts. If it looks like dog crap, smells like dog crap, tastes like dog crap, it's probably dog crap. :notnice:

I'd email and/or call Procharger ASAP. Save a sample and offer to email it to Procharger. I've heard real mixed review on the durability of those units, and that much metal wouldn't make me feel to good about it.

It's normal. I've had two head units and after each change it looked that way. As long as there is not particles in the oil you will be fine. Mine comes out charcoal looking too.

Have you made it to your second oil change?

yes, I did another change after another 500 miles - not near as bad. So, I have to assume that the first will be the worst.
