good idea. if it does pull a code i'll try that. great thing is the xcal will let me clear the dtc's if it does throw one out. then i can try something different.

For some reason, the XCal isn't always able to clear codes. It won't clear the P0340 I've been getting. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif[/img] I have to disconnect the negative battery cable to clear it.

no didn't see that but i did read the one on mod fords forum last night. wonder if one of the wires got pushed over and is shorting inside the sensor? unfortunately the only way to find that out is to replace it. but you had a code for both sides didn't you? [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/headscratch.gif[/img] i'll talk to my dad. he used to work for ford but i doubt he'll know since he hasn't messed with any of these 3V yet unless it was an f150.
