yes. Once I got the motor to the house, I dropped it right in. Overall, it took about 2 hrs putting humpty dumpty back together. The harness wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It went so easy, I feel like I forgot something. I am missing one thing though. Under the cowl vent, just above the firewall in the center, there is a grounding strap bolted down to the top of the firewall. It runs vertically down. I can't find that stinking grounding strap. I'm done looking for it. I'm going to go by the dealership tomorrow to p/u or order another. It'll probably cost $100 or something rediculous. I'm getting ready to head outside to load it up on the trailer to take down tomorrow for the turbo install.

What's the estimated time for the turbo install. I've been on the edge of my seat for weeks now. Anxiously waiting for a timeslip and video.
About 3 1/2 weeks from what Dave told me, and he is expecting it to actually be about 4 1/2 weeks. I think that 4 1/2 is realistic. I wish it was only 4 1/2 weeks for mine, I started the process with the actual purchase in November and I still am waiting on the last box of parts to even ship from Cali. :bang:

Congrats David...
Glad to hear everything went back in ok. Seems like there is always something that grows legs and walks away during these kinds of jobs.

I'm on the edge of my seat too George. I've been burning the midnight oil lately. I'm getting a new roof put on right now and have been replacing some siding and facia when I see it's rotted. Then I move on to the car. Oh, did I mention working all day too. I changed out my LCA's, upper third link and the bracket for the upper third link to BMR's stuff. Not too bad except dropping the gas tank to remove that bracket. I had to tie up some other loose ends as well...removed the driveshaft, shifter, battery. Just trying to clear the way for Bart when he starts putting stuff back together. The cars loaded and I take it down tomorrow a.m. Here's what he's going to do for me:
1. Install a turbo system
2. Install the TKO600, Swarr shifter, Centerforce clutch/flywheel
3. Install the alum. driveshaft from JPC.
4. Weld up the axle housing and any spot welded seams in the rear body/chassis
5. Install a axle brace
6. Install a Auburn Ected electric locker
7. Install 3 Autometer Nexus gauges
8. Relocate the battery
9. Install a two stage 200 shot of NX
Just seeing whose paying attention. No NX for now.
So I bought my wife another car today. It looks like I'm home free with the 05. Here comes the cage, spool and maybe...just maybe an automatic

sorry, I didn't mention what kind of car I bought her. I bought a 96' Mystic Cobra #93 with 14K miles and all original (down to the tires) except for the axle back and Eibach Springs. He did give me the original springs though. All paperwork as well. She loves it. My son has had this infatuation with Cobras for the last year. He's 6. I know...I'm raising him right

I take it you're leaving the Cobra alone?

Which auto trans would you go with? C4, 4R70W, other??? I'd love to have a stout auto tranny with a transbrake and a killer TC for racing purposes. But for now, I need to stick with the 5R55S for my daily driver/weekend warrior.

Dave - GREAT news man!!

Boy sounds like Bart is going to be doing some job on your car - is that aluminum driveshaft that new one piece I thought I saw advertised on their site? That one that drops something like 17 pounds of weight as opposed to the stock one???

You wife's ride sounds SWEET too! Get some pics up of that baby when you can!

Is there a possibility that you may use the heads off of the Mystic in the future? I'm quite sure the wife wouldnt mind.. Boy oh Boy!! Just think of all the possibilities of having those heads on the new motor... I bet you would be close to 350HP+ N/A if not more... Just thinking of the motor you have built with 32 Valves is quite bubbly!

I'm sure your wife wont notice 8 less valves... LOL!!

I'm keeping everything on the car, A/C, P/S, and whatever else. The car will be completely streetable. I've had to make some compromises, like the differential. The car really needs a spool, but they're not to nice on the street. Some of the accessaries might get relocated. Unsure right now. Bart's also taking out the stock stereo, putting in a single DIN stereo and putting my gauges below that in the other DIN. I've talked to the fella that will be building my roll bar and he's convinced me that you won't be able to see the bar from outside...and be certified.
From those that I've talked to...a built C4 is the ticket with a hefty price tag of $4500. Not including the converter and conversion parts. I'm looking to keep the car streetable though for right now.
I won't be touching the Mystic. It's in it's original state and is immaculate! I'll post up some pics later, once I take some.
The heads on a 96' are B heads. Not the best heads that they put on a 4V.
