$13K...uh no. You're correct about Boss 330's work, but off base on their pricing. It's really hard to compare when there are SOOO many variable in the parts alone. There's a $900+ difference in the block alone compared to another alum. block. So...

Is that paint or powdercoat on your cam covers? What color is it/paint code?

WOW, I couldn't wait to get that thing slopping dirty with a bunch of black soot from leaking turbo couplers and spilled oil! I say to heck with 9K RPM, take the accellerator and "put it to the wood" and find out if those valves/springs can handle 10K. 
P.S. Be careful who you let know about when you dyno, BBR might show up and tape it, then post it as their N/A gains with ported heads and cams.
All kidding aside Dave that is one beautiful motor. It is hard to tell from the internet but I would consider Al as the top surgeon of his field with the looks of his work, and I would be proud to wear those Boss 330 stickers on my valve covers.

Stock pickup and no spacer. I'll have to get the part# on the pan and ATI. The Boss 330 is painted on, no stickers.

I think the part number is 20555 but the pickup I'm not sure about. It says to use the stock pickup. But I Don't know if that applies to the 05 4.6L.

Al's pricing is at industry standard. On par with Modular Performance and VT among others. Pretty amazing considering the quality of work performed by this literal one man show.

Jason, I'm not one for holding grudges and I honestly, I don't recall what beef your talking about. It's the internet. I'm not about to spend a second of time to search and see what it was about. It's in the past!
You can't go wrong with Al. He has about 8wks of work right now, so "timely" depends on what you think is a long time. It's worth the wait!

8 weeks isn't bad at all. My friend has been waiting 6+ months on his 67 Mustang road race engine. The person he has building the engine is a close friend. It's winter here, so I am not sure how hard my friend is pushing him to get it done. My concern was that my car is my daily driver and I wouldn't want it down too long.

Congrats David. That is on GOOD LOOKING motor you got back. You didn't happen to see mine down there when you picked yours up did you? I can't wait to get it back. I stuck with the Aluminum block though. I only hope mine looks half as good as yours.

FWIW, our issues are all in the past, no grudges here.
Regardless I'm glad you saw through our initial differences, you simply can't go wrong with Al. Currently he's running about a 7 week delay (racing season starts in under 2 mos. so it's crunch time) but things will slow down a tad in the near future. FWIW, when you're talking about such a large investment, having to wait a few extra weeks vs. getting a motor from Brand X more quickly, is really no big deal.
