Thumbs down

Are there any clutch upgrades/performance clutches currently available for our '05s? I looked but I couldn't seem to find any.

I'm new to Ford manual trannys, so if someone could point me in the right direction for finding a good, strong performance or racing clutch for my car it'd be greatly appreciated!

Just checke dout RpmOutlet.com.... what about their RAM Clutch kits? They come in five different stages to meet your particulair needs and they are priced well - $449.00 for a stage 3 that can handle up to 650 HP. Any feedback on RAM clutch kits?

The following manufacturers make clutches, a simple search of the web for their site will lead you to a dealer or they may even sell to the customer.

Spec
Ram
Cenerforce

I wonder howmuch hp/ rotational mass can be lost with a new flywheel, clutch, and carbonfibre driveshaft combo?

ALOT!
I have a RAM clutch with the stock flywheel. I wish RAM had an aluminum flywheel ready when I did my clutch. Contray to popular, old school belief, you will pick up power with the aluminum flywheel. I've been looking into it for some time. Common belief has been that you need the steel to generate inertia with lower HP cars. In fact, you will loose a bit of power in the first 30' at the track, but will pick up significantly throughout the rest of the 1/4 mile. It rev's up much quicker. For those wanting any more technical info, I'd suggest talking with Justin at JPC. He has a lot of knowledge in this topic and has personal experience with the 05 and the flywheels ordeal.
I do have to say that I love my clutch! I have quite a few passes on it as well as atleast 40 miles a day (daily driving) and it still hooks up as it did day 1. It took my wife 2 days to get used to it. She stalled it maybe 10 times, before she figured out that giving gas will keep it from stalling.
