Depending on how you heel/toe, that brake pedal is the exact opposite of what you'd want. I'm more of a side of foot/side of foot guy, and the extension on the gas pedal is essential, but the ball of my foot goes exactly where these are carved out. If the Mustang were a tight foot well car, like a S2000 or Elise something, these could be useful as the brake pedal carving would be needed if the gas pedal overlapped that area, but the Mustang pedal gap is huge -- I had to move the brake pedal cover to the far right, the gas to the far left, just to stretch across.
2:15 on that video is more of the traditional toe on brake, heel/side of foot on gas. My ankle doesn't bend that way so much...
Just my 2 cents

I don't know how to do it other than at staging for burn out... I'm looking to do road race... I have never done it... These pedals are not made for our car it's for amateur f1 cars... U might b right... I picked up a 2nd set of wheels to learn how to drift an stunt drive... I'd love to speak to someone in my area an have them show me how to do all this... I have a giant parking lot owned by a friend to learn on... So if any of u live in the dallas area an has knowledge on drifting/road racing... Id love to meet up w u... Pm me if that person is out there...
I'm bored w drag racing... I've done excelled at it... Even won a championship in high school doing bracket racing... But now a days even if I go fi I can barely beat a stock 5.0.... To me doing road racing to a degree takes the cars out of the equation and puts the W more on the driver... I cant beat a vette but put a normal vette driver against me on a road track an I will bust that *** ...

This is perhaps the best YouTube explanation I've found, I actually have this video at home, someone obviously ripped it directly from the DVD:
Depending on where you live, Hooked on Driving is a good option, or join up with NASA, they're all over the place:

The pedals I have are these:

Tried the Steeda, they were too small.
The ones above are curved the right amount for our cars' pedals, require drilling in the metal (clutch, brake) or plastic (gas), but work well, look nice. I'd still prefer a bit more square brake pedal, but it's better than that lower right corner being cut out completely.

NASA HPDE1 -- every new student gets a free certified instructor (generally they are racers or time trialers, and most have a pair of in-helmet communication headsets to talk with you clearly while on track), every session -- 20 minute sessions, 4 per day, 2 days per weekend. $300 each weekend, cheapest track instruction you'll ever find!

In regard to pedalwork, I recommend reading Ultimate Speed Secrets or really any of that series and practicing a little before a class to maximize your first experience.
Agree with the wheelman, you gotta learn how to do this in your driveway first, then on the street, then on the track. Too much other things happening on track to be learning a new pedal skill (be it this, double-clutch, left foot braking, whatever).
Those pedals you posted are great, I was looking at them, the cost was just too much. The ones I posted are made by a reputable manufacturer, though I don't recall which off the top of my head (they're in a prior thread I posted to, though...) and I'm quite happy with them.

Now that's a gap I can bridge!
