Well, I am only at 700 kilometres right now, but the last 2 days, I discovered the amazing power in the mustang 05 GT and I just love putting the pedal to the medal as the light goes green, and roaring up to 70/80 kilometres/hour.

2 Questions

1) How bad is it to be doing this now, at 700 kilometres? What can I do to make it less worse, now?

2) Once I am passed 1500 kms, or 1000 miles, how bad is it to put the pedal to the medal then?

I have a new addiction. I want to make sure I am not hurting my car

No break in needed, just need to vary speeds the first 1000 miles ( ~1600km) or so. Keep enjoying your car as you want.

Drive it like you stole it right from the dealer lot. Like GbNNP said, just vary the speed when you are driving.

BTW, it's pedal to the metal (as in all the way down to the metal floorpan), not medal.

Sales lady knew of a deserted parking lot ... 1st tire shreading dougnuts done during initial test drive day we picked her up;
Open freeway on ramp (rare in SoCAl); 1st 100mph pass done at less than 75 miles
1st opportunity to safely do a 125mph pass was around the 500 mile mark
Way I drive my cars is to let it rip and have fun. If something serious is going to give it'll happen early while it's under warranty
