So I go to my local auto Zone and buy 2 cans of wheel paint. and a roll of tape. Total price was about $12.00. And lookie at the results. I spent a nice Sunday afternoon after church sanding the wheels with 1000 grit sandpaper, just to texturize the surface for the paint to stick. Then I had to use black electrical tape to tape off the edge, since the tape I purchased wouldn't curve enough. I pulled each wheel off and also the hubcaps. I taped over the "Ford" cinter area on the hubcaps and used a rasor blade to cut out the cicle. After spending about 2 - 3 hours prepping the wheels I spend about another hour painting. Later that evening, I mounted the wheels and hit the streets. BLING! TOTAL NEW LOOK for a meer $12 bucks and 5 hours of work. The paint has a "matt" finish, giving it a Powder Coat look in my openion. I was looking for a gloss paint, but I'm glad I used this paint and not a gloss. The car is lowered with Eibach Sportlines and I had the car striped a few weeks after I bought it. I am so in love with the way it looks now! I hope you like the pics. -FROG-

Wow. Looks nice. If you didn't have that exact color of car with those stripes, I think I would have hated the wheels. But in this case,

As many others have said, that's the first time I've really like those wheels!

Why is it a regular guy with a can of spray paint can make better looking wheels than all of FoMoCo?

I have to say, those are some VERY crisp pictures too. Nice camera!

Thanks man. he he he about the camera, it was the cheepest digital I could find about a year ago. I changed the resolution settings in the camera to 2048x1536 so the pictures where origionally bigger than a typical computer screen (huge pics). Then, when I saved them on my computer, I used microsoft paint to make them smaller and this compresses the pictures to about a 640x480 size and makes them really sharp. The wheel picrues was really blurry though, due to me shaking.... Any hoo, my camera was about $100.00 from Wal-Mart and it's a Samsung Digimax 301. Gotta love digital cams.

Way to use your head when you modify your car. Hats off man, I like what you did. I used to HATE those wheels and I honestly would have paid to not have them over the bullitts but your mod has changed my opinion.

It takes some real ***** to sand & paint your stock rims not knowing if the results will be OK. I must say... good job! Looks darn good!
